Anna invents "Brench": French Chic x. Brit Style

Eschweiler? Eschweiler! Hardly a rooster crowed for the medium-sized town near Aachen... until Anna came along, Anna Sorokin aka Anna Delvey. Since February 11, we've been following on Netflix Inventing Anna, the incredible story of this young woman who came to Eschweiler at 16 and left the German provinces in 2012 to stack up and conquer the world of the rich and beautiful - with their own dough, of course.

We are dumbfounded and fascinated at the same time - her brazen callousness wins us admiration, somehow, brazen, courageous, fear? A foreign word, it's amazing what she dares to do and how everyone falls for her. At least for a while. It's her engaging nature, her self-assurance, her power of persuasion that Julia Garner displays in the role of Anna. Doubts? She doesn't even let them arise, and if they do, she skillfully wipes them off the table with the next even more unbelievable story. That's what you call chutzpah, and she has a lot of it. And besides all that, Anna is definitely one thing: stylish and always expensively and tastefully dressed, because she knows one thing for sure: clothes make the man, they are an essential part of this story of the rise and fall of Anna Delvey, playing the main role especially in the rise.

Anna always knows when and where to dress to impress. When she's out with business people, she plays the businesswoman in the elegant suit, while in the art scene she plays the eccentric card - changeable like a chameleon, she adapts to the environment and the people, and becomes one of them, those rich and beautiful who will pay their next bill, champagne, please!

From A for Alaya to Z for Zanotti, Anna Delvey has mastered the keys of the fashion keyboard and plays them effortlessly, fashionably always perfect, from big robes to little black dresses. Each episode is a fashionistas dream, as one designer brand chases the next - perfectly styled and put together by costume designer Lyn Paolo. She manages a look all her own in Inventing Anna: Brench, a sophisticated combination of French chic with Brit style. Our favorite outfit? The designer suit in Electric Purple, a business look like no other, so wow!
